For some reason these remind me of the Victorian cameo necklaces and brooches you used to get. I love the 3D effect of these. 
 
These earrings are made from silver metal clay and the dragonfly is dried on a curved surface so it sits proud of the base. The base is textured and the dried dragonfly place on the top and fixed in place. They are allowed to dry before final sanding and firing in my kiln. Once fired I polish them uop both by hand and using my tumbler. I add the patina with a solution of liver of sulphur before a final polish to bring out the detail.
 
They are hung from sterling silver ear wires and hang beautifully from the earlobe. There is a matching necklace available.
