Sun, Sea and Sand

Whoo hoo - summer has finally arrived. Honestly I think spring was skipped over but finally we have some sunshine. ☀️

In true English fashion we are moaning about it a bit already but it would not be summer without a bit of moaning eh!! ☺️

any way this is an opportune moment to discuss jewellery care again. I won't apologise for doing a second blog on this cos its so important to keep your jewellery as clean as possible and this time of year, sunscreen, body lotion and perfumes are all going to take their toll on your gorgeous jewellery.

Remember that you should try to keep your jewellery away from moisture so I would definitely not be wearing it in the sea or swimming pools. if you do then don't worry, rinse it off well after getting out of the water and dry it with a soft lint free cotton cloth. If you are applying sunscreen then take your jewellery off. if you are applying body lotion then allow that to absorb into the skin for a good 10-15 minutes before putting your jewellery back on.

These small steps will go a long way to make sure that your jewellery stays looking as good as it did the day you bought it and don't forget to use the small sliver cleaning cloth supplied with your jewellery to help keep that shine.

Finally, although I want to make you jewellery that you can wear everyday sometimes you will need to store that piece for a while. Don't worry about the tarnish - it actually protects the silver a little so pop it in a box with a lid and just clean it when you finally take it back out to wear it. Don't feel you have to polish it every week

I hope these hints help, let me know what you think in the comments below or share any hints you have as well
